Get To Know Me

Rev. Dr. Patrick Bryant is a spirit-filled preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who accepted his call to ministry at the age of seventeen. He currently serves as the humble pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Blythewood, South Carolina.


A proponent of education, Dr. Bryant, a Benedict College graduate, received a Magna cum Laude distinction for his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. At Benedict, in Columbia, SC, Dr. Bryant was inducted into Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for Business Administration students. He earned a Dwight D. Eisenhower fellowship and was granted the opportunity to study abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England for business and theological studies, completing the program in the top percentile.


Dr. Bryant received a Masters of Arts in Religion degree with a concentration in theological education from The Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC, as well as an earned Doctorate of Ministry in Preaching from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. He is completing a second-year chaplain residency at Prisma Health in Columbia, SC.


Dr. Bryant is married to his college sweetheart, Christanny of Columbia, SC, and they have three children: Masters Jackson Patrick, Master Braxton Patrick, and little Miss Gracyn Amanda. He contributes all of his success to the grace and mercy of God. His favorite scripture is Isaiah 55:8:


"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts higher than your thoughts."
